I am a small organisation and the Modern Slavery act is not applicable to me, why have I been invited to complete the assessment?

The Modern Slavery Assessment can be completed by any supplier, regardless of whether the Modern Slavery Act applies to them. If a buyer has requested you to complete the assessment for them, it will usually be to help with their own reporting related to their obligations under the Modern Slavery Act. *

Please also be aware that you are only required to complete the assessment if your buyer has requested you to complete the assessment as part of a tendering process or framework agreement.

*The Modern Slavery Act (2015) states that businesses with a turnover of £36 million or more are required to publish an annual Modern Slavery statement.
